SAFARI, CAMPING & FACILITIES

Our Camp consists of tented accommodation in individual 14’ X 14’ Oriental tents on twin sharing/single basis. Each tent cubicle is provided with cots, chairs, luggage rack, linen, bed sheets, quilts, blankets, pillows, hot water bottles and a full floor covering. Lighting in tents is by kerosene lamps or candles. The dining tent and kitchen are lit by gas lamps

Dining area
Buffet meals have an Indian or Continental spread. After every meal, tea and coffee is served. Dinner begins with piping hot soup and guests can also savour traditional Rajasthani cuisine. While you dig into freshly cooked sumptuous food around the bonfire, folk dancers and musicians would enthrall you with their performances. You certainly would feel like royalty!

Fascilities & Services

The demonstrations could range from Indian cooking to preparing jute reins for your horse.

A Rajasthan expert will accompany us on the ride. He will talk about wildlife, architecture, religion, caste system, local horse medicine and Indian philosophy.

Services of groom are provided in the ratio of, one groom for three horses. The groom helps with saddling and unsaddling, feeds and waters the horse’s everyday. Grooms give the horses a sand bath and massage when required.

The dining tent has regular sit down arrangement with chairs and tables. Buffet meals with a choice of Indian and continental dishes in every meal are provided. Unlimited tea and coffee served after each meal

Folk dances / music entertainment. Every evening.

A massage after a long day of riding.

Camping sites are well chosen and offer superb view of the countryside.

We have our own toilet and bath. These are mobile units, bath cubicle have shower with running hot and cold water, vinyl floor, foot mats and hangers for clothes, soaps, towels, looking mirrors and wash basin. The toilet cubicle has WC.

We have our own fleet of vehicles which includes three large trucks, one mini-truck, one 4 X 4 jeep/trailer which enables us to operate efficiently.

Spare horses always accompany the ride. If a horse is unwell, there is always a replacement.

Food
Truly Rajasthani and Indian dishes are cooked with farm fresh vegetables. All meals have different menus. You can savour an amazing array of authentic Rajasthani buffet meals followed by desserts and tea or coffee.

On riding days, departure from the camp would be after breakfast (approximately 9 AM). The morning ride would be about 2 to 3 hours, stopping along the way for sites of interest. Lunch is served around noon followed by a two-hour siesta. The afternoon rides would be shorter, not beyond 3 hours. At the end of the scheduled ride, tea and biscuits would be served at the appointed destination.

Bravo – Kaiser – II World War Jeep
|

On an average, riding distances would be restricted between 30 and 40 kilometers a day. The riders would be trailed by Bravo, our World War II 4 X 4 Kaiser Jeep laden with essentials like water, tea, chilled aerated drinks and other beverage. The guests need not lug their backpacks; they can leave it in the jeep.
Riding ability
To make the best of this safari, you need to know the basics of horse-riding and be medically fit. If you have a medical condition, please check with your doctor before signing up.
Pace of horse rides
Walk, trot and long canters wherever the terrain permits.
